In Memory Of

Because sometimes on a lovely, sunny day, the Lord asks us to be elsewhere than we are. Or we simply feel ill, and must abbreviate our stay. Either way, she held it in her heart through a long, dark eternity, and now she must let it go.

All the goldfish that never made it out of the bowl.

All the dandelions that were never given.

All the letters that were never sent.

Or ever even written.

Your words have power. Don't keep them locked up inside.

Write a card or a letter to someone you love today. Remind them how much you care about them.

You aren't promised tomorrow with them.

Unless you're like King David, before he became king, where he had a prophecy that he would become king, so when he faced Goliath, he knew he couldn't die, because God doesn't lie. ... But I guess it only works if the prophecy is about the person you love, because you might be around a while, but what about them?

In any case, they probably would like to read with their own eyes how much you appreciate them, especially if you don't say it out loud very often.

Things feel more real when they're written.

Hug them with your words.
